Abstract

The fittings for an overhead contact system are one of important parts in electrification railway.In this study,the corrosion mechanism was investigated on the basis of the cunently corroded status of the fittings for overhead contact systems in typical atmospheric environments,and that the organic coating protection measures were proposed and tested.Finally,the novel organic coating was used to protect full-size fittings for overhead contact systems on different sites.It is expected that this kind of novel organic coating will he play an important safeguard role in economic and safe operations for overhead contact systems in electrification railway in the future.
