Abstract

Monofactor analysis was introduced to investigate the impacts of polyhydric alcohols and polybasic acids on the performances of polyester and coatings, putting emphasis on discussing the performances of thermal transfer printing and levelling. The results showed that 4-amino-1-butanol can enhance thermal transfer printing and levelling;CHDA can enhance levelling but impair thermal transfer printing;DMPA and PMDA can enhance thermal transfer printing but impair levelling.

Key words

functional monomers;polyester;powder coatings;thermal transfer printing;levelling
