Abstract

The preparation method of alcohol-soluble inorganic zinc-rich coating was introduced.The effects of water content in hydrolysate of ethyl orthosilicate,polyvinyl butyral,air humidity and zinc powder content on the performance of the coating were studied.The results showed that the impact resistance,flexibility and adhesion of polyvinyl butyral(PVB)modified film were improved significantly.Alcohol-soluble inorganic zinc-rich coatings were solidified by absorbing water in the air,and the air humidity had a great influence on the curing performance.The lower the humidity,the longer the drying time,or even the longer the curing time,the higher the humidity,the faster the curing reaction.The denser the film,the better the initial water resistance,adhesion and salt spray resistance of the coating.When the amount of water in the hydrolysate of ethyl orthosilicate is 10.5 g and the content of zinc in the dry film is 80%,the neutral salt spray resistance time of the coating can reach 4200 hours.
