The development process of epoxy primer-topcoat coatings with low-pungent odor and high solid is described, that is mainly used in automotive brake decoration and corrosion protection. The product specifications meet the technical requirements of QC/T 484-1999 Automotive Paint Coating. The selection of resin, solvent, curing agent, dispersant, pigment filler and adhesion promoter are described. The product with low-pungent odor and excellent performance was prepared.
