Abstract

The effect of curing time and curing temperature on the powder coating was analyzed by using infrared curing polyester +TGIC powder coating with gas catalytic combustion.The qualities of the coatings cured by different curing processes were studied, and the optimal curing parameters of catalytic infrared curing powder coatings was determined. The results showed that with the increase of curing temperature, the time required for complete curing of the powder coating decreased, which was consistent with heated air curing. The highest infrared curing temperature of the coating was 230 ℃, which was higher than the highest curing temperature of heated air(200 ℃). At the same curing temperature, the catalytic infrared curing coating takes only half of the curing time of heated air. Considering the curing time and energy consumption, the best curing parameters were 230 ℃ for two minutes and 220 ℃ for three minutes when using catalytic infrared curing powder coatings.
