Abstract

A kind of acrylic resin with antibacterial properties was synthesized. As the substrate of paint film, a high performance automotive coating was prepared. By studying the dosage and hydroxyl content of iron oxide nanoparticles, initiators and chain transfer agents, investigating respectively from the antibacterial effect, storage stability, glossiness and hardness, the optimum conditions were determined as follows: the dosage of iron hydroxide nanoparticles was 0.4 %, the dosage of initiator was 0.4 %, the dosage of chain transfer agent was 0.8%, and the hydroxyl content was 3.5%. This product has good storage stability, film with high hardness and high gloss and excellent fullness, and antimicrobial function, comprehensive performance are good.
