An one component strippable coatings with flame retardant performance was developed based on a thermoplastic elastomer resin as the main binder,and selected different kinds of flame retardant materials at a certain proportion as flame retardant,and appropriate solvent,as well as pigments,fillers and additives.The prepared coatings showed good acid resistance,alkali resistance,weather resistance,heat resistance and no deterioration on the primer.The coating itself provided good flame retardance when applied onto the substrate.It can be widely used for protection of the coatings on the surface of various steel structures during welding or cutting and protecting the steel structures during outdoor storage or transportation.
