This article summarized solving problems in alkyd powder coating industry by using middle infrared spectroscopy(MIR),such as the application in alkyd producing procedures,the analysis of the concerned materials in alkyd and powder coatings,the mechanism research in curing procedures,the defect analysis of powder coatings,etc.A fast problem solving way was given to powder coating industries by using MIR.
